Curriculum Vitae

Lieve Dejonghe was born in Ostend (Belgium) in 1961.
After completing high school in Arts she went on for a bachelor in Arts Education at Bruges.
Later on she took specialized evening and weekend courses in drawing and painting at the academy of Bruges and in Ghent.
While teaching art in Bruges until 1995, she also worked as an artist painter, book illustrator and writer of travel reports and a journal.
From 1995 on she became enthusiastic about realistic painting and took specialized classes from famous masters in Belgium, France and Holland.
In 1995 she focused exclusively on painting.
She presently has a studio in Temse where she paints 8-10 hours a day..
